Please note: The length of this course is 18 months (three semesters). The fees outlined above (Home/EU £3,000 and Overseas £4,050) are for the first academic year only, there are additional fees to be paid for the second year.
The course is designed to promote the development of the general management skills and abilities required in a rapidly changing economic environment, both by individuals, already operating in, or those seeking to take up supervisory and managerial roles. The course will develop the skills of analysis, problem solving and proactive thinking. It will provide the underpinning knowledge and understanding required to operate effectively in a managerial role.
As the course progresses, emphasis evolves from operation to strategy and the option to take the additional top up modules to achieve the MA Management can be taken up to complete your studies beyond the diploma to master’s degree level.
Students are supported via the Virtual Learning Environment accessing their modules on the Blackboard site and availing of current journals and e-books as well as podcasts and other supporting resources. Onsite students can make appointments with librarians for specific search support or attend speaker’s evenings or study skills ribbon workshops. Each student has a personal tutor and we also provide additional support for dyslexic and disabled students.
Studying the above programmes will give opportunities to gain immediately applicable skills and managerial awareness; whilst learning about other organisations’ processes and practices from peers and case study analysis.
